Which one fits my bike?

I've never used a throttle control before on my bike and thought that having the numb right hand is part of being the tough biker type. Man, was I wrong. These throttle controls replace the existing bar end weight looking like a factory piece rather than a "bad add on". They weigh the same as the bar end weight, use the same mounting screw, and require no modifications at all to install. My son and I did "our" installation (he thinks my GS is his) and it took him about 5 minutes. He was very proud of himself and besides I just love having him do the work on my bike. We think we have the best throttle control available and it gets a two thumbs up from Flippin Tristen!

Kit consists of:- Ingenious and robustly designed Friction nut integral with Special Handlebar End-weight.

Fitting Instructions: Remove right hand bar-weight and replace with Kaoko™ cruise control kit. Apply Loctite 2701 to the bar-weight retaining screw. Torque to 18Nm.

Operation: The friction nut has a left-hand thread. It must be adjusted so that it makes contact with the rubber throttle grip.

To Engage: Whilst rolling on the throttle, the friction nut can be gripped between the small finger and palm of hand. This action tightens the nut and provides sufficient friction to set the throttle to the desired opening. (The friction is such that the rider may still open and close the throttle. It simply has a slight stiffness to it.)

To Disengage: Whilst rolling off the throttle, grip friction nut between small finger and palm of hand. This action eliminates the friction. The throttle should open and close freely when correctly disengaged.

Note: The Grub Screw is set by manufacturer to provide the necessary resistance on thread of friction nut. This may be adjusted periodically to take up wear.

Maintenance: Completely remove cruise control kit approximately every 6 months. Unscrew friction nut from bar-weight and brush clean the threads with mild household detergent. Apply light film of petroleum jelly or copper slip to threads and re-paint the body if necessary. Set Grub Screw to desired resistance. (See fitting instructions for assembly.)

Safety: It is important to use the cruise control for the purpose it was designed for, and that is for cruising when it is safe to do so. At all other times it should be disengaged.

CCF400 Note (BMW R1200GS/ R1200GSA ADV/R1200ST): Earlier bikes had 300 gram bar weights with 80mm long retaining screws. The later models have a 330 gram bar weight on throttle side only with a 90mm long retaining screw. Please ensure that your retaining screw is 90mm long. If not, purchase screw from BMW dealer. Part number 32717698103.
